App Review fix
Fix the Guideline 1.5 Support URL rejection.
Apple rejects apps under Guideline 1.5 when the Support URL in App Store Connect doesn’t lead to a page where people can get help. The fix is a dedicated support page with a contact method that’s easy to find.
Preview your support page →What the rejection says
The message from App Review usually reads like this:
“The Support URL provided in App Store Connect, [your URL], does not direct to a website with information users can use to ask questions and request support.”
Guideline 1.5 asks you to “make sure your app and its Support URL include an easy way to contact you.” Apple’s App Store Connect reference adds that the Support URL must lead to actual contact information.
Common causes
- The URL points to a homepage, blog post, or social media profile with no contact details.
- The page needs a login, shows an error, or loads slowly for the reviewer.
- It’s a GitHub README, shared document, or Notion page that changed or went private.
- The only contact option is hidden at the bottom of a long page.
What a support page needs
- Your app’s name
- At the top, so people know they’re in the right place.
- A visible contact method
- An email address or button people see without scrolling. Social links alone usually aren’t enough.
- Open to everyone
- No sign-in, and it works on a phone.
- Privacy policy link
- Reviewers and users expect to find it from your support page.
How to fix it with AppLinks
Create your support page
Enter your app name and description on the AppLinks homepage to preview your pages. Create an account, add your support email, and publish. Your page shows your app name, an “Email support” button, and your email address.
Replace the Support URL
In App Store Connect, open the app version that was rejected and paste your new Support URL, such as
https://your-app.applinks.online, into the Support URL field.Check it and resubmit
Open the URL in a private browser window to confirm it loads without signing in. Then reply to App Review or resubmit. When only the URL changed, you usually don’t need a new build.
