AdMob guide
Host app-ads.txt without a website.
AdMob and other ad networks look for an app-ads.txt file on your developer website to confirm who is allowed to sell ads in your app. Without a verified file, AdMob shows a warning and can limit the ads it serves.
Set up your app pages →Where ad networks look
- Developer website
- On iOS, it’s the Marketing URL in App Store Connect. On Android, it’s the Website in your Google Play store listing.
- The file
- Crawlers request
/app-ads.txtat the root of that website. - Its contents
- Lines from your ad networks. AdMob gives you yours in the app-ads.txt section of your account.
How to set it up with AppLinks
Copy your lines from AdMob
Each line looks like
google.com, pub-0000000000000000, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0, with your own publisher ID.Paste them into AppLinks
In the editor, open “Store links & contact details” and paste the lines into app-ads.txt. Once your pages are published, the file is served at
https://your-app.applinks.online/app-ads.txt.Point your store listing at your support page
Use your Support URL as the Marketing URL in App Store Connect, or as the Website in Google Play Console. Ad networks can take a day or more to crawl the file, then AdMob shows it as verified.
